Surely not a coincidence?<\/span><\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00813.JPG\" width=\"404\" height=\"539\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span class=\"style16\">This giant shopping arcade runs north-south for over a kilometre in Tenma. <\/span><\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00821.JPG\" width=\"404\" height=\"539\"><\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC01805.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span class=\"style16\">This is the Osaka branch of the Yoyogi animation academy. They have a whole bunch of neat fliers out the front. <\/span><\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00827.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span class=\"style16\">Osaka at sunset, as shot from one of the bridges that connects the north and south areas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00836.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">It may sound like a new Touhou game, but it&#8217;s really just a boy band. We saw big trucks driving around with this billboard in at least two different cities. <\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00832.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00871.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00880.JPG\" width=\"404\" height=\"539\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Just as Akihabara is the holy land of the east, Nipponbashi is the holy land of the west. Most of the big otaku-orientated stores have branches here, and there are some interesting local stores too. <\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00842.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">This is the Nipponbashi bridge itself. Both sides of it count as parts of the Nipponbashi district, but only one side has all the otaku shops. <\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00856.JPG\" width=\"404\" height=\"539\"><\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00857.JPG\" width=\"404\" height=\"539\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Nipponbashi Sofmap. Not quite as sprawling as the Akihabara one, but still huge. <\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00860.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Nipponbashi Tora no Ana and Gamers. You can&#8217;t get in, and there&#8217;s nothing of interest in the lobby. Surely they could have spared a cardboard cutout or something? <\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00828.JPG\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">This building is also given as an address on the Aquaplus website, but there&#8217;s nothing indicating a connection here on the directory.<\/p>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"DSC00824.JPG\" width=\"404\" height=\"539\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span class=\"style16\">If my understanding is correct, this is where VisualArts (Key) <strong>used<\/strong> to be.
