Tachikawa city is a quiet little district just west of the Tokyo metropolitan area. It's home to the Showa Memorial Park.
Word has it that the fountain and the tree-lined avenue from Shiori's scenario in Kanon is based off this location.
I suspect that these benches near the fountain are the inspiration for the benches in ONE, but given the dated art, it's not easy to tell.
A little north of Tachikawa is the building on which the school in Kanon is based. In reality, it's a nursing school.
No students were around for the holiday season, so the teachers kindly gave us permission to walk around and take a few more photos.
